What's the difference between Versions 2 and 3?
NN.MDB Version 2d is the latest build that uses a STANDARD three-layer
Perceptron design.
It uses tried and true MLP architecture, a standard sigmioid transfer
function, and standard backprop. No guesswork, no experiments. Use this for
actual deployment.
Version 3 (still in development) is an experimental mod of MLP architecture
to enable my "Ad-hoc Neural Networks."
Enabling shared neurons on any layer. It has a new Neural ID system, and a "simulated
Dendric Tree"
and is incompatible with Version 2, however if you build a single stand-alone
net in Version 3 (without any shared neurons), its supposed to function
exactly like Version 2. But we're still testing that.
What about version 1?
NN.MDB v1 was the original, all SQL version. Painfully slow. Its obsolete.
